INTERNET USAGE POLICY

Internet Usage policy is very important which is given to all the employees before they are being hired by any company or an organization. The internet usage policy clearly defines the websites the employees can use during their work or on their workplace. Employees are not allowed to access their personal accounts while they are working. It also says that if any employee violates this policy they can be punished.

Internet Usage Policy act as guidelines to employees so that they don't misuse. It increases awareness and prevent the incidents of misuse. Employees should not download the useless software or open the links which are not of the use of company. They are risky and sometimes can provide threat to the company.So employer should clearly mention that what the employees are allowed to open or not. Employer should also tell them when they are allowed to access their personal accounts.

Internet Policy alone is not enough but it should be implemented, everyone in company should follow it. The data employees download should firstly be detected by virus detection software.Employees should also not place their company's data like copyrights etc. on the public access website. t should be accessible with the permission.

Internet Usage is costing companies loss of million dollars in the productivity and the goodwill of the company. So the company should also take care of the activities of employees.
